The nine members of the International Jury of the tenth edition of the European Prize for Urban Public Space are meeting on the 18 and 19 April at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) to evaluate the 279 submitted works.

 After an intensive reviewing and online-voting period, the International Jury (chaired by Olga Tarrasó and David Bravo as a secretary, and composed by Peter Cachola Schmal, Matevž Čelik, Hans Ibelings, Ewa P. Porębska, Francis Rambert, Katharina Ritter and Elis Woodman) has met today to reach a consensus about which —amongst the 279 projects coming from 32 different countries— are the best rated works.

During both days, the meetings will take place at the «Sala Raval» in the CCCB, where all the submitted works will be exposed. Today, the members of the Jury will decide the 25 finalists works of this year’s edition. The finalist works will also be made available at the Prize online Archive, including images, data and texts that explain the projects in detail.

Tomorrow the Jury must come up with a consensual verdict about the winner and the possible special mentions. Once the results have been decided, the Jury members will conjointly write down the supporting act justifying them and will finally be interviewed to comment on the winning works.

The results will not be made public until the award-giving ceremony that will take place at the CCCB auditorium on June 20. The ceremony will be streamed online, and the President of the International Jury, Olga Tarrasó, will give a talk about his impressions regarding this year’s edition of the Prize.
