Michela Marzano, philosopher and member of the Italian parliament, speaks with Shared spaces on the need for public space.

In February 2013, Michela Marzano spoke with Shared spaces in Rome, where she met a team from the CCCB who went there to interview her after her commitment to present for the Italian elections obliged her to cancel her public lecture in the series titled In Common. In this interview, Marzano spoke of the need for cultural discourse that could bring about real change and she held that such effective change could only be the result of cooperation in the public sphere. In a nutshell, “we need public space in order to construct together a different model of society”.
