The 2024 Prize at the School of Architecture of Reus (Spain)

School of Architecture, Universitat Rovira i Virgili

The travelling exhibition of the 2024 Prize, showcasing the most outstanding works of this edition, is touring both local and international institutions and universities with the aim of presenting exemplary interventions in European public spaces. At the same time, it serves as a platform for reflection on today’s urban challenges.

The School of Architecture at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, in Reus, has hosted the exhibition as a pedagogical tool to help students, through concrete case studies, become aware of the transformative power of architecture and urban planning—and, in particular, the importance of public space as a key element in building more liveable cities.

The analysis of the winning and finalist projects of the 2024 Prize offers an opportunity to understand and reflect on public space as a place of coexistence, memory, sustainability, and civic participation. It thus becomes a vital tool for addressing social inequalities, in line with European values of diversity and democracy, as well as for responding to the challenges posed by climate change.
