There will be live broadcasting of the sessions of the Fifth International Congress on Creative Cities to be held in Medellín from 3 to 6 October.
“Public Space and Culture in Action” is the theme of the Fifth International Congress on Creative Cities to be held in Medellín from 2 to 6 October. The CCCB is participating in the Congress and will present the exhibition “In Favour of Public Space: The European Prize for Urban Public Space 2012”, which is to be held in the Medellín Centre for Cultural Development from 4 October to 5 November 2012. The director of the CCCB Marçal Sintes, the director of the European Prize for Urban Public Space, Judit Carrera, and the secretary of the jury for the Prize, David Bravo, will be taking part in a series of panel sessions with other experts in the national and international spheres, among them Saskia Sassen and Teresa Caldeira. The sessions, which share the common aim of reflecting on creativity, innovation and culture in cities, will be complemented by discussions among the speakers, forums and trips to the creative spaces of the city of Medellín. The sessions will take place at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín, Centro de Desarrollo Cultural de Medellín, Museo de Antioquia and at the auditorium of the Ruta N.
