Dean and Josep Lluís Sert Professor of Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Sarah Whiting has long reflected on the role of architecture in contemporary society. As head of one of the world’s prestigious academic institutions, from which she contributes to shaping the global debate, Sara Whiting will speak about her commitment to the teaching of architecture and the values she promotes, among them social sensitivity and integration of theory and practice in design.
Sara Whiting is also a leading expert on some of the great Catalan architects and urban planners, among them Josep Lluís Sert, former dean of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, and Ignasi de Solà-Morales, whose essays she has translated into English.
