The project focused on a path extending approximately two kilometres from the western outskirts of the village of Ineia, Cyprus, to the rock formations of Koraki and Alikou, offering panoramic views of Lara Bay and the Akamas National Park (a Natura 2000 site). The path was partially paved and concrete-covered, but was in a poor state of repair, with crumbling dry-stone walls. There were also several archaeological, cultural and environmental sites along the route. The aim of the project was to improve the path and link historical, religious and natural sites, and to encourage walking rather than vehicle traffic. The dry-stone walls were restored and new structures were integrated into the landscape, along with rest areas, viewpoints and a visitor centre to enhance the experience and nature observation.
