The Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria offers to Shared Spaces her definition of public space.
The Italian architect Daniela Colafranceschi is Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria and a member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space since the 2010 edition. In May 2012, the landscape architect visited the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) in order to be recorded as a participant in the documentary on public space Europe City, a co-production of Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) and the CCCB. Shared Spaces took the opportunity to interview her and ask for a definition of public space. Colafranceschi held that "public space is the theatre of the history of mankind" and that "people are its main characters."
