Katharina Ritter replaced Dietmar Steiner in the Prize Jury
The director of the Architekturzentrum Wien (AzW) have regreted that he couldn't attend the Jury meeting on 3 and 4 April and delegated his powers of representation of the Austrian centre to his colleague Katharina Ritter.
Dietmar Steiner, director of the Architekturzentrum Wien (AzW), informed the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) that, owing to personal reasons, he couldn't attend the meeting of the International Jury for the European Prize for Urban Public Space, which has been held on 3 and 4 April in Barcelona. The Austrian architect is the longest serving member of the Jury, in which he has participated for all the awards since 2002. After expressing his regrets at being unable to attend this year’s meeting, Steiner delegated his powers of representation of the Austrian centre to his colleague Katharina Ritter (Vienna, 1972), jury member and coordinator of exhibition programmes at the AzW. The presence of Ritter in the International Jury, together with Carme Ribas (President and CCCB representative), Sarah Ichioka (director of the Architecture Foundation in London) and Juulia Kauste, means that this year, for the first time, the vote of the female members of the Jury has been outweigh that of the male members. You could also find interesting
