Architecture critic. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts (2010-2024)
Maroje Mrduljaš, based in Zagreb, holds a PhD in architecture. He is working at the conjunction of teaching, researching, designing, writing, editing, curating and filmmaking. Maroje contributed to numerous exhibition projects in leading institutions including MoMA NY, MSU Zagreb, S AM Basel, Venice Architecture Biennale. He has published in Archithese, A+U, Vesper, Domus and elsewhere. His most cited book is Modernism-in-Between, Mediatory Architectures of Socialist Yugoslavia (with Vladimir Kulić) while two seasons of his documentaries Slumbers of concrete (with Saša Ban) commissioned by Croatian National Television had the widest reach.
Maroje is editor-in-chief of Oris magazine and lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Zagreb. He received four Neven Šegvić prizes for critical ant theoretical work awarded by Croatian Architects’ Society. He is recipient of honorable mention of the Dennis Sharp International Committee of Architectural Critics (CICA) Pierre Vago Journalism Award 2020.
