In the domain of human rights, he has worked with the Soros Documentary Fund, WITNESS and The Journal of Human Rights. He is co-director of International Justice Watch, an Internet discussion group about human rights, war crimes, international tribunals, crimes against humanity and genocide. He is the author of Fables of Responsibility: Aberrations and Predicaments in Ethics and Politics (Standford University Press, 1997) and co-editor de New Media, Old Media (with Wendy Hui Kyong Chun, Routledge, 2005).
