Art historian and geographer
Teresa Navas was part, in the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB), of the team which constituted the first edition of the European Prize for Urban Public Space in 2000. She holds a BA in History of Art and a PhD in Geography, both from the University of Barcelona. She is Professor of Urbanism and the History of Public Works at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). Her research has focused on the urban history and the infrastructures of Metropolitan Area of Barcelona and in the Management of Cultural Heritage. She participates on the Master in Monuments Restoration by the UPC and coordinates the Graduate Programme in Urban Stories. Theory and Practice of the Historical Narrative, organized by the Museum of History of the City of Barcelona (MUHBA) and the Theatre Institute.
