Criminologist 

A criminologist and Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology at the University of Essex (United Kingdom), Pete Fussey works mainly in the area of surveillance and security in relation with counter-terrorism. He also specialises in security and the social impact of large-scale events, border control, organised crime and urban sociology. Besides his research and teaching work, he has also advised and worked with regional and state governments in the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. He is a member of the LiSS (Living in Surveillance Societies) network, a European research programme designed to study contemporary security and its consequences for, and impact on the lives of citizens.
