Philosopher, writer and politician.
Marzano (1970) is an Italian philosopher who lives in France where she is head of the Department of Social Sciences at Université París-Descartes and a fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS – National Centre for Scientific Research). Marzano’s main field of interest is moral philosophy and politics and she is also a member of the Italian parliament since the February 2013 elections in which she was elected as a candidate representing the Partito Democratico. Among her published works are La violence (Breus CCCB, 2008), Éloge de la confiance (In Praise of Trust, Fayard, 2012), and What Is applied ethics? (Proteus, 2012).
