Professor of Architectural Composition
He is sub-director of the Culture Department at the Barcelona School of Architecture, honorary professor at the Ricardo Palma University of Lima, and visiting professor at a number of universities in Spain and abroad.He has also worked as an exhibition curator, his work in this field including “Less is More. Minimalism in Architecture and Other Arts” and “Barcelona 1979-2004. From Development to a Quality City”. He writes on a regular basis for the newspaper El País and for the Culturas supplement of La Vanguardia. His work as a thinker and architecture critic as been recognised with the Lluís Domènech i Montaner Prize, the “Serra d’Or” Critic’s Prize, and the Construmat Prize. Notable amongst his recent publications are Museos para el siglo XXI (Gustavo Gili, 2003), which is also published in English (Museums for the 21st Century, Gustavo Gili, 2003) and an anthology of his articles published in El País titled Repensar Barcelona (Rethinking Barcelona – Edicions UPC, 2003).
