Architect and urbanist. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts (2010)
After studying at the KU Leuven University, he has been a lecturer in Architecture, Urbanism, and Planning in its Faculty of Engineering since 1991. He also teaches Architecture at the LUCA School of Arts, which was previously called Hogeschool voor Wetenschap & Kunst.
His main area of interest is analysis and design of spaces through creative, innovative processes. His knowledge of physics and his studies in the field of construction have led him to explore the relationship between theory and practice, a key issue for both his teaching and research practice. He has participated in projects of spatial design at institutions like the Flemish Policy Research Centre Space from 2012 to 2015, the Flemish Policy Research Centre Housing Space, from 2007 to 2011 and, prior to this, SP2SP (Spatial Planning to Strategic Projects), among others.
