Executive director of Privacy International, a British NGO which combats invasion of privacy by governments and corporations. A specialist in data protection, anti-terrorist policy and civil liberties, Hosein is known for his work on the conflict between ICT (Information and Computing Technology) and human rights. In this capacity, he has been an external evaluator for the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and adviser to the UN Special Rapporteur on Terrorism and Human Rights. He has also taught as a guest lecturer at London School of Economics (LSE).
