Expert in tech ethics and algorithmic accountability
Gemma Galdón teaches Security, Technology and Society at the University of Barcelona (UB), where she also investigates the ethical and legal impact of technologies and security policies. She is a researcher at the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam, as well, and coordinates the Observatory of Resistance and Subcultures (RiSc) of Barcelona. She is a consultant for Privacy International, for the Latin American Studies Network Monitoring and for the Surveillance Studies Network. He writes regularly on media such as El País and eldiario.es and her academic publications deal with issues as video surveillance, control of major events, public order, smart cities and the incursion of new technologies on privacy,.
