An Israeli film director and producer and essayist

He has directed and produced political documentaries and fictional films, his work in both genres being shown in prestigious international festivals, for example the Berlinale, Toronto, IDFA, Cinéma du reél, Sunny Side, SFIFF, Saint Sebastian and Leipzig. He has been an exhibition curator, writes regularly about the Israel-Palestine conflict, political cinema, and political crimes and their representation. He has been a visiting professor at the universities of Yale, Columbia, Berkeley, Berlin and Paris. His most recent works are Faces of the Fallen (2005), the documentary I Love You (2004) and Route 181, Fragments of a Journey in Palestine-Israel (2003).
