Architect and President of the National Directive Council of the Portuguese Architects Order. Member of the Prize's Board of Experts (2024)

Architect Degree in University of Porto, Advanced Studies Diploma in Architectural Projects by Universidad Politecnica of Barcelona, Ph.D. in Social Sciences by University Fernando Pessoa (UFP), Portugal.

He was President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Architects Order from 2017 to 2020; Assistant Professor at ISCSP, University of Lisbon and University Fernando Pessoa. Holds a long career as architect, with significant work developed in Portugal and published in several countries. In the last 4 years was committed as Vice Ceo of the Executive Board of Metropolitan Area of Porto holding the responsibility of Planning, mobility and Transports Authority.

His research is focused on urban planning, mobility plans and strategic development. In the last years published several thematic books and articles in these areas. At the moment is also in the scientific board and peer review of in science publications in Brazil, Latvia and Portugal. Currently, he is also President of the National Directive Council of the Portuguese Architects Order (2023-2026).
