The registration period is now closed, and 279 works have been successfully submitted. The International Jury, chaired by Olga Tarrasó is now going through the reviewing process of the works. The final resolutions will be announced in June.

The registration period of the tenth edition of the European Prize for Urban Public Space 2018 has finished on 21 February. 279 works are participating on this year’s edition —already available online— coming from 32 different countries. Spain and Portugal are leading the number of submitted works, followed by Italy, France and Belgium.
Last Monday 19 March, the President of the Jury, Olga Tarrasó, and the Secretary David Bravo started with the reviewing process of the submitted projects. The members of the International Jury —formed by Peter Cachola Schmal (director of the Museum of German Architecture), Matevž Čelik (director of the Museum of Architecture and Design, Slovenia), Hans Ibelings (director and editor of The Architecture Observer), Ewa P. Porębska (editor-in-chief of the magazine Architektura-Murator), Francis Rambert (architecture critic and director of the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris), Angelika Fitz (architect, director of the Architekturzentrum Wien in Vienna) and Ellis Woodman (architect, former director of The Architecture Foundation, London)— are currently commencing the evaluation online.
The Jury will meet at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) on 18 and 19 April. Their verdict will be announced at the award-giving ceremony which will take place at the CCCB, on 20 June.
