Professor of Geography at the University of Cambridge and director of the Institute of Advanced Study at Durham University, Ash Amin (Kampala, Uganda, 1955) is considered to be one of the world’s leading experts in economic geography and regional development in Europe. Besides being co-editor of the Review of International Political Economy and fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, he has published such books as Cities: Re-imagining the Urban (co-authored with Nigel Thrift, Polity Press, 2002) and Collective Culture and Urban Public Space (CCCB, 2008), which is available in our Library.
